We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6:19-20

Are You Living in the Blessing? |

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. - Galatians 3:13,14

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. - Hebrews 13:15 One of the best ways to experience the fullness that God has to offer is to cultivate a lifestyle of thanksgiving. When God tells us to do something, it is always for our benefit. Giving thanks is no different. Giving thanks is not always easy, but it will help every situation. Often, it's a sacrifice to give thanks to God. You've probably heard this verse in a popular song, "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. His Love endures forever." Our giving thanks recognizes the Goodness of God, and is a sign of our faith in His Goodness. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. - Hebrews 11:6 By giving thanks IN all things, we are confessing our belief in God. So, give it a try, offer thanksgiving to God continually and watch any situation begin to express His Goodness. |

You've probably heard it said that money is the root of all evil. That is a lie. Even if your preacher was the one who said it, it is simply not supported by scripture. Look closely at what the scripture this erroneous teaching is rooted really says:
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. - 1 Timothy 6:10 (King James Version) |

This article was inspired by a message from Pastor Sue Lingerfelt at Overcoming Faith Christian Center. One of the most challenging issues that a Christian faces is dealing with temptation. Make no mistake about it, there is a tempter loose in the earth who wants to destroy you. When you fall into temptation, you open the door for destruction. With so much as stake, it's important that we know how to deal with it when the temptation comes. |
